$20 per hour Job Description The Executive Director of the Dayton Chamber works under the direction of the board of directors and reports directly to the board.
The Executive Director is responsible for, but not limited to the following job responsibilities, meeting with the public, engaging with public moving to the area and being a resource, enhancing business growth and providing local business resources.

Responsible for growth of the Chamber by engaging individuals and businesses regarding the benefits of joining the Chamber.
The Director is responsible for ongoing Member retention, contacting existing Members on a regular basis, and assuring Members receive their renewal notices in a timely manner.

Responsible for the weekly E-Blast sent out to members three to four times a week.
3.
Plan, Schedule and Coordinate Monthly Mixers, Ribbon Cuttings and Grand Openings, Local Community events and all publicity associated with the events.
4.
Preparation of the Monthly Board Agenda.
5.
Provide oversight and direction to Administrative Assistant.
6.
Responsible for updating and creating marketing materials for all social media platforms, in conjunction with VP of Events.
7.
Prepare all financial documents with the aid of the Board including, but not limited to, Printing Checks, Profit & Loss Statements and other financial documents.
8.
Reconcile and manage the Petty Cash Fund and includes providing receipts for all items.
9.
Assist IT/Website Host in maintaining and updating Chamber Website.
10.
Provide monthly reports during Board Meeting to include members renewed and any outstanding invoices.
11.
The Executive Director is responsible for any other responsibilities the Board deems appropriate.
Additional Duties/
Responsibilities:
Work with the Board Chair to prepare agendas and materials for Board meetings and attend meetings.
Develop goals and objectives for Board recommendations.
Maintain open communication with the Board to report any issues or concerns.
Establish goals as well as direct the annual and long-term planning process.
In person, on location work required.
Skills/ Abilities:
Exceptional organizational skills and strong self-starting skills Outside sales and fundraising Computer Skills Grant Writing Experience is preferred Relationship building Strong Communication Skills, Public Speaking, and presentations Strong customer service skills with emphasis on motivational strategies; the ability to foster teamwork through full collaboration and networking with the Board Members, Chamber members, community leaders, elected officials and strategic partners (committees and organizations).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
